NVPC Staff Training on Scoping SBV Projects

Client: National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)

The Work Involved

In 2025, NVPC partnered with Empact to upskill their staff in scoping skills-based volunteering (SBV) projects with corporate partners. These SBV projects are intended to support organisational development challenges among charities and social enterprises.  The objective of the upskilling sessions is to address key challenges that staff face during the partner engagements, thereby improving their effectiveness and success in future engagements.

The scope of work included:

  • Design skills-based volunteering project scoping material to equip participants in addressing challenges encountered during engagement of corporate partners

  • Guide participants to make connections with existing training assets to optimise their learning effectiveness

  • Conduct in-person training sessions that include case scenario discussion segments & cohort shareback to encourage diverse perspectives while reinforcing the learnings

Results of our work

Up to 20 staff benefited from the in-person trainings. They were able to apply their newly gained insights to projects in a timely manner, especially for staff who are account managers with existing and pipeline projects.
